    Fairy War 2

    [Note] Orignal title of thread : Line for Fairy War 2 midnight release




    I preordered it like 6 months ago!

    Anyway, in case you guys weren't aware, Toffi announced it's going to be released tomorrow. Don't trample the store employees.

    After 5 long months of work it is finally finished! My fourth game!
    I hope I haven’t forgotten anything. Well, like always: if you find any bugs or problems with balancing, drop a message. I’ve tried to fix all bugs, but there might still be some left I haven’t found. There is only so much you can try alone. Criticism, ideas and everything else (*cough*donations*cough*) welcome as well!

    Not much else to talk about here – just enjoy the game!
    edit: v1.1 on MU and Ryonani. Fixed some bugs with the Multiplayer. If you encounter more (or new?) bugs, drop a message.
    edit#2: v1.2 on MU and Ryonani. Seriously, everytime I open the game to fix some bugs, I have the feeling I’m just creating more.
    edit#3: v1.3 on MU and Ryonani. Tweaked the balancing. Hopefully some AI-battles will run a bit better now.

    It's out now by the way. Does not disappoint. :D

    TS is gonna love Roxana. xD

    Toffi I noticed a bug in vs. mode that came up, couldn't seem to duplicate it again, but essentially even if you start a new round the message to press any button to end the fight came up immediately at the start of a fight, so you couldn't attack without being sent back to the character select screen. It started happening after a round ended normally.

    Oh well, the timing of the release is perfect, just after two exams a nice little game to relax.

    Bugs/Improvements:
    - In the movelist specify in which direction the character has to face to face.
    - Roxana's Shoot Energyball doesn't seem to be able to hit the boss.
    - Dash and Special Moves have to big execution times, I often ended up dashed or doing a move without wanting to; maybe changing the moves/dashes that you have to release the final direction key to activate it helps.
    - In order to have manuell control you need to play story first and change it there.
    - I had the same bug as clanssd, and another time you couldn't free yourself from a rape attack in VS-Mode.

    Well, I could shorten the input-time but I'm not sure that'd be the best idea, since I want to keep it beginner-friendly.

    Really nice game, the only beef i have with it is, no bad ends. ^^

    Loved that in PotR.

    Yeah, noticed that too, the problem is that the normal sex attack is just "C"; if you fail to do the combo right you automatically use the normal sex attack. Changing the normal to "C, release C, C" might help, it's would still be easy to pull off but you most likely won't perform that sex attack unintentionally anymore.

    Well that's just the way the Fighter Maker works. I could alternatively change the overall input to be more precise, but that would make in pretty difficult to play with keyboard.
    At the moment it's (for example): left, -free-, down, -free-, right, -free-, B. That way you can make a smooth motion even on the keyboard to execute that move. The alternative would be:
    left, leftdown, down, rightdown, right, B (which would pretty much be impossible to do with a keyboard) or left, down, right, B, which would mean press left, release left, press down, release down, press right, release right, press B.
    Which is even worse.

    C C? No, sorry, that I won't do. It's fine the way it is, I think.

    fixed a few bugs, uploading v1.1 to MU right now, but nothing major changed.

    Can you say which file contains the move commands? Would like to take a look because there has to be a way to differentiate between button pressed and button released, otherwise every character with a special move which has not at least 3 directional key inputs would be unplayable.

    They are in the characters. But they are locked, so you won't be able to look at them.

    I just looked at them again and didn't find any options to differentiate between pressing and releasing. If you find a solution, do share it with me.

    Thanks for your great Game Toffi. It makes fun to play it.
    But could you please tell us for which characters those two free character slots in the multiplayer screen are, or are they unused?

    They are watch-mode and Shaki. But since you can't play them in Multiplayer (or let me say it this way: it would cause much trouble if you were able to play them in Multiplayer), I crossed their slots out. There is nothing to unlock there.
    The Fighter-Maker doesn't allow me to have a different number of slots for Single- and Multiplayer, otherwise I would have just deleted those two as not to confuse people. But that isn't possible.

    Worth the wait. Great game, Toffi. Going to be playing that for a while. :3 Oh, and a small bug. When I was fighting Shika or whatever her name is, my armour bar dropped to nothing and wouldn't regenerate as soon as the fight started. I couldn't break out of her hold after that. Only happened once though, and I'm really not sure what caused it.

    I've started playing this game, and before I knew it, I had played it for three hours. That's a lot, in my opinion since that means I stopped 2:00AM. I normally stop by 12:00 but...damn was that game good or what.

    The succubus sex parts were pretty good and really showed the personality of that character very well (or at least her succubus side, anyway).

    Great job there, Toffi.

    This is a pretty big problem for me. It seems completely random what move I end up using. Usually I just get the basic attack as though I just pressed the attack key once. I ended up quitting on the 4th match as I couldn't get in any attacks for two reasons. One the aforementioned control issue. The other problem is none of the non projectile ground based (as opposed to jumping) attacks are interruptible. The one that comes to mind immediately is the armored chick's mace attack. I was playing the ice chick and even when I smashed a big iceberg into her she didn't stop charging her swing (which by that time I was across the arena but still...). I might give it a try tomorrow but currently I can't figure out how to actually play it against an AI opponent.

    I have the same bug as some others, where you fight the catgirl two time (I'm using the Ice mage).

    In the final match using the ice mage I'm not able to freeze/rape the boss, each time I try she grab me...
    I'm missing something ? O_o

    woot long awaited.And just downloaded getting ready to play thank you toffi can't wait to play.



    edit: ok so i played the game and have to say great work toffi as always u make great games.now i did find 1 bug that i thought You should know about.when u are playing and pause the game to get up to do something the life bar does not show up rite not sure if you already know about this but thought u should know so u can fix it.

    Yeap, the boss cannot be raped, you have to beat her up.
